The host was delightful and attentive during our stay.
We had a series of frustrating experiences. Check-in was a nightmare. we arrived at 12:30pm expecting to be welcomed, only to be told we'd need to wait until 3pm. Not only was the security guard incredibly rude, but the lack of essential bathroom toiletries was also surprising for a hotel of this cost. Waiting for our luggage to change into swimming attire made the anticipation even worse.

Initial check-in was frustrating due to wait time, and unexpected rudeness from a security guard left a sour first impression.

Staying in the Peninsula Ylang Ylang Villa I was a delight, with stunning views of the rainforest surrounding the private deck and pool. The freshness of the grilled meats at dinner was exceptional, showcasing local ingredients prepared beautifully. Although the paths can be challenging at night, especially for those with mobility concerns, the overall experience overshadowed these minor inconveniences. The privacy offered by the villa was fantastic, making it a perfect getaway for couples.

We had an awesome time enjoying yoga sessions that were super refreshing. Each morning, we watched the sunrise from our balcony, surrounded by hummingbirds and iguanas. The chef's no-menu concept blew our minds, serving amazing fresh dishes. Plus, the wellness pavilion was the perfect spot for relaxing treatments.
One downside was figuring out the paths at night. It could be a bit tricky when returning to the villa, but overall the experience was worth it.

A hidden gem in the rainforest
Waking up to the sounds of the rainforest was a magical experience! The stunning views from our private pool made every moment feel special. Service was top-notch with personal touches.
However, navigating the hilly paths at night was quite challenging, and we found ourselves being cautious while walking back to our villa. The slippery conditions made it a bit stressful.
